Police Officer Pay and Benefits

  • Starting Salary $61,235.20 per  year ($29.44/hr)
  • Shift Differential - $2.00 an hour pay increase
  • Overtime pay
  • 5% percent special assignment pay - up to 10%
  • 7.5% detective pay
  • 12 Paid Holiday’s - $3,364.80 per year for new officer
  • 104 Hours of Sick Leave per year with no cap
  • 104 Hours of Vacation Leave per year (288hr max)
  • Ability to accrue Compensatory Time (200hr max)
  • Compensatory Time Sell Back (40 hr accrual required)
  • $250 Equipment Allowance (Uniforms provided at no cost to officers)
  • Career Enhancement Program
  • $5,250 per year Tuition Reimbursement or Student Loan Repayment Assistance
  • Numerous Special Duty or Off Duty Opportunities ($52.50/hr pay rate)
