Our Tucson Police Volunteer Program will give you various interesting opportunities throughout our department to use your skills, experiences, and passions to educate, inspire and assist our department and community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative Support:

• Clerical
• Crime Lab (specialty assignment)
• Finance
• Property and Evidence
• Records

Community Engagement/Special Events:

• Resource fairs
• Sporting events
• Special activities
• Community events

Community Education:

• Presentations on certain topics
• Information sessions

Role Player:

• Community members acting in recruiting training scenarios, affording our recruits the opportunity to engage with, and learning from civilians. It also offers our community members the chance to use their skills and experiences, while learning about our department and recruiting process.

Volunteer Program Requirements

1. 18 years of age or older
2. Valid Driver’s License or ID
3. Successful background check
4. Drug screen questionnaire
5. Fingerprinting
6. Fill out and submit a Volunteer Interest Form
7. Phone interview
8. In person interview
9. Orientation
